Redline Typing ("we","us","our") operates redlinetyping.com, a typing speed and coding practice platform for students and general users. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect information.
Account information: username and email address. Usage data: typing test scores, WPM, accuracy, and duration. SSO data: if you sign in with Google or Clever we receive your name and email from that provider only. We do not collect payment data, physical addresses, or phone numbers.
Redline Typing may be used by children under 13 in school settings. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children beyond what is necessary to provide the service. When a school uses Clever or ClassLink to authenticate students, the school district acts as the consent authority under COPPA. We do not use student data for advertising and do not share student data with third parties except as described here. Parents may contact [email protected] to review or delete their child's data.
When used in a school context via Clever or ClassLink, we act as a school official under FERPA. Education records are used solely to provide the typing and coding practice service. We do not disclose education records without appropriate consent or legal requirement.
To provide and improve the service. To display scores on your profile and leaderboard. To send account and support emails. We never sell your data and never use student data for advertising.
We share data only with: Resend for email delivery, and Clever or ClassLink solely for user authentication. We do not share data with advertisers or data brokers.
We retain account data while your account is active. Request deletion at [email protected] within 30 days.
Passwords are hashed with bcrypt. All connections use HTTPS. Auth tokens use secure HTTP-only cookies.
